3 Go Back For Gorgon Statues Following Death
Gorgon Statues exist around the map on Astalon: Tears of the Earth, and breaking them increases the multiplier of the Soul Orb drop rate. A lot of players can miss these, but there are multiple videos and articles online that show where all of these are.
What a lot of players maybe don’t realize is that after death, all of the Gorgon Statues respawn and need to be destroyed again to apply the multiplier. After respawning, going back to these Gorgon Statues is the only way to make the Soul Orb multiplier the maximum it can be. Players with experience in old Nintendo platformer games will be familiar with having to retrace their steps following a death.
2 Find The Secret Developer Room
There is a secret developer room in Astalon: Tears of the Earth that can’t be found on the map. Finding it rewards the players with items and extra Soul Orbs, so it is well worth trying to find. Lots of indie games offer Easter Eggs like this, which are always worth discovering for the player.
If the player doesn’t feel like spending time trying to find it, they can simply go online and look at videos or guides on where the room is and use that to navigate. But there isn’t as much fun in players finding it themselves.
1 Take Your Time
Astalon: Tears of the Earth can be a little overwhelming, and it certainly doesn’t handhold players. Players should take their time as they progress through the game, particularly in the harder levels further through the story.
A lot of the levels require the player to do things in a certain order, locking a door on the east before pushing a lever on the right, for instance. Taking a bit of time to think things through and look for clues in Astalon and other forgotten puzzle games can ensure players get through puzzles in the right order.
